Buying a DVD Recorder

I see my local Tesco is selling a Philips DVDR (3305/05) for a pretty good price (about 170 sods, if I remember correctly). I can't find any reviews of this online, and was wondering if anybody had one. All I really want to do is save my Sky+ recordings down to a DVD for storage...
