    Eircom receives preliminary approach

    The board of Eircom has confirmed the company has received a preliminary approach which may lead to a take over.
    Shares in the company have jumped this afternoon after it released a statement to the Irish and London Stock Exchanges confirming the approach.

    It is not known who is behind the move.
    Anyone hear anything else about this?
