    Hi,

I have recently been charged with the task of finding a PDA for the engineers in work, I have a minimum spec to go by:

Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition or Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0
    Processor 520 MHz
Screen 3.5" TFT 320x240 (CAN NOT BE ANY SMALLER!)
64MB SDRAM 64MB ROM (Application will need 256KB to 512KB)
Docking station/cradle must be interchangable between same type of PDA.
    Anything else is a bonus.

Here is the tricky part, the PDA needs to be able to send txt files back to the office, this could be done over ftp or simply via email.

The engineers possibly all have bluetooth enabled phones, could they be used as the internet gateway ? Or would it be better to have a PDA with internet capability ?

    Any advice/info appreciated !

FWIW I use a nice little program "ftpView" on an iPAQ, via bluetooth phone on both Meteor and Vodafone GPRS for uploading JPG's. I haven't used .txt files but I'll try it later.

Anyone know of something similar with a bigger screen - not laptop sized but a lot bigger than a PDA ?

No problems uploading .txt files. I used "Notepad v1.0" to create file on iPAQ as I can't seem to save files in Word as .txt I never tried to save in anything other than .doc before now.
I learn something every day :)
