I registered with Smart back in April, being told that Broadband would be in my area in July / August. I thought that the delay would be worth it, July came along and went, then we had August...still no Broadband. I rang up in early September and was told that it would be 2005. No you "can't get out" because you "can't get in"
Until you actually change over your number, you aren't tied into any contract and can tell them to forget it if you want, at any time before you sign up for good. All you were doing by submitting your name was registering an interest...
