Can broadband run on a dedicated fax line?

A client of mine has a room in a serviced office building. All her calls come through the central switch. As a result, she only has a dedicated line for her fax machine.

Can broadband run through a line used only for sending and receiving faxes?

The fax machine is set to auto all the time.

    Thanks.

    D.
