Help/ Ping Test Results. Not sure of result means

    I am unable to view webpages in Internet Explorer

    I can ping www.bbc.co.uk, no probs i get 4 replys
    When i try to ping 212.58.224.114, it comes back not regonised as a external or internal command?

    spec: WO router
    I have 2 firewalls, but i dont think its affecting it.

    I think its a problem with ping?

    Can you access the internet using a browser?

    Also try pinging other wll knowen sites that accept ping requests such as Google.com (64.233.187.99) if that works without any problems then double check the IP your trying to ping is correct.

    Should the normal ping fail try pinging your Gateway or DNS.

    I can't view webpages at all. I use internet explorer.

    I can ping default gateway and checked the IP address, all ok

    212.58.224.114 will return an Echo. (i.e. it is valid for this test)
    you got that error message because you mistyped the command.
    try again:
    ping 212.58.224.114

    Check your proxy settings in IE.
    Make sure that you're not working in Offline Mode.
    Try another Web Browser.
