    What rate of tax is added on tobacco in this country?

    ie. I pay 3.25 for a 10 box of ciggies, how much goes to the Government?

    VAT is 21%, but cigs are regulated by the revenue, the government takes about 70 - 80 of the revenue from cigs, the rest is divided between the shops, wholesalers and manufactureers.

    what are you trying to work out?

    Thanks for that.. just trying to put up on a small powerpoint slide how much the Government make from certain products through taxation
