What happens after 6 on a Friday to slow things down by the way?

    More people use it...

Mine has been down a bit this morning, I guess I spoke too soon earlier. When it is up it is fast though. Wouldn't want to be depending on it for something...

It looks like things are in fact starting to inprove but we shall see when I get home. I hope it is getting better. After 6 on any week day IBB gets a lot worse for home users. The oppsite is the case for the busniess user.

Does anyone remember the Christmas episode of Fr. Ted where Ted and Dougal are testing out the lights on the tree?

"There they are Ted... no wait now... they're back!... gone again... thats it Ted you're a genius... wait, gone again..."

Its actually working a lot better for me now, but only time will tell.

I had another fail-over happening around 1pm today. Looks like my router detected so much packet loss that it decided that enough was enough.

The good news is that I will shortly no longer need IBB so then it's bye bye for good.

Is anyone having routing issues at the moment from 3 rock? I can't seem to get to some irish sites at all (but can if I dialup to Eircom). I am on hold for the last 25 minutes :(
    Anyone else notice anything strane?

K, Never thought I'd have to post in an IBB thread, but we got it installed in work and its starting to live up to its name!!

Today, pings went all over the shop.. Seems a node in baldoyle appeared and caused the pings to go thru the roof...

The baldoyle node is gone again, but now I cant access the IBB DNS servers. I changed our dhcp server to use ones from esat and Eircom but we are still getting problems with sites not being resolved...

On top of that, the support number rings out for 8 mins before hanging up on me... :(

I've got ripwave and can see the 3 Rock mast from my apartment window and I can't even connect, signal is always flashing red. In fact, I've never successfully connected to it. I'm near Old Bawn Village. Anyone near there and have ripwave actually working ?

    How long will this last.

Confidence in IBB is long gone.

    Sorry, I spoke to soon.

    Ah good old reliable IBB.
Back to my steady 6KB/s download through bittorrent and consistent timeout over HTTP.
Packet loss back up to a nice 15% or so.

Not sure but ripwave has settled down after the last few days and it is off the wall for me DL 55.6 kB/sec with DU meter usually around 20 kB/sec

I know it aint as good as other BB but it is cheap the only option I have and it is better than dial up and before this round of upgrades I've never had a prob

first 2 days of Ripwave were barely faster than dial-up, last 2 days have been much worse than dial-up. **** this **** is all i can say. cancelling on Monday and ordering the 2mb Clearwire
