To improve fps in CoD2...

    ...use DirectX 7, not 9. Open CoD2 MP, go to "Options", then "Graphics" and choose DirectX 7 on the left.

    Although some of you might not have that option... Some of my mates in France don't have that option. Still looking into it...

    hey have that option they just don't see it cause, it's on "Auto", and they are looking for a text with Direct X7 or 9 in the options :D

    jasus the FPS shoot through the roof but the textures are better in Dx9 !!#

    only getting 50 - 60 fps with all on high with my card !

    with dx7 it shoots to 200+

    Christ! He knows his tweaks! Wonder if these tweaks have similar effects with DirectX 7... I'll have a look tonight!

    On low-end video cards it sets it as dx7 by default...

    I tried those drivers this morning, for me i lost 10-20FPS with the new drivers.

    I've noticed some stuttering in dx7 mode with the new drivers. Didn't really have anything running in the background so it very well could be the drivers.

    Why have direct X 9 in it at all if it cant even run well on Drappers hi end card. The game will be dead befoire we all have cards that can run Dx9 well COD 4 will be out by then.

    max I've got is about 60 fps (all up high)

    but average is about 40.

    They should rename the DX7 option to " Make COD2 look like COD 1" button

    the new drivers made DX9 better but DX7 worse.
