80's Metal show of Shame on Phantom -27/10/01

A one-off show of shame will be broadcast on the 27th ofOct (9-11pm) featuring possibly the most embarrassing era in music history 80's Metal. "I lived thru 80's Metal"
I want suggestions of the worst songs and bands from the era of BIG hair and meandaring guitar solo's and dodgy sexist lyrics. I've already dug out bands like FASTER PUSSYCAT, CONEY HATCH, BANG TANGO, MOTLEY CRUE, JUDAS PRIEST, LA GUNS, KING KOBRA, WHITE LION, RATT and WINGER! But I need more suggestions for this night of horror!
Your help is needed. But be warned , it aint gonna be pretty!

Yes Micko your right....there was alot a horrible bands around that time, some real good guitar players thought....sexist lyrics....who cares really....rock music is supposed to be a least a little bit offensive...........but at least these bands were being serious about their music (which is probably why it's funny now) but in todays postmodern ironic climate lots of bands, some of whom i like Daft Punk, Beck ect. take bits of that era and present it with a wink and people who claim to hate prog rock or 80's LA hair bands go .....ahh that's cool......Robbie Williams and Fun lovin criminals have made careers out of reheating cheesy music cliches from metal to lounge music and the kids think this is great......it easier to poke fun at something...to serve up a tounge in cheek pastiche (Recipe from Womans own) than to try do something a little serious.......not sayin music shouldn't have a sense of humour....................

..........anyway Metallica did all their best music in the 80's

My votes for this *excellent* programme are W.A.S.P, Tigertailz, Skid Row and White Lion (all of which can be found in my "tape" collection :cool:
