Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apologies if this thread doesn't belong here but i couldn't really think of any better area to post to as it's not really a technical question. Anyway here goes.

Basically i was just wondering if anyone out there knows of a cheap, reliable long distance phone service that doesn't require i change away from eircom. I make a lot of trans-atlantic phone calls and it's quite expensive. It costs me 12p a minute off peak. Anyway any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Anyone who's used such a service and can recommend a quality service, i'd really like to hear from you.

    Thanks in advance,

    Killian

As far as I know, the Nets/comms area of the boards is the place to put this kind of post up.

But anyway... to answer your question. Talkshop is a service that I use and America costs at the least - 5p per minute. (however you do need to dial a local access number) 8p per minute is the cost of using a freephone access number.

Get hold of their customer service centre on 1890 927 928

    mk?

edit] (all call costs are peak and off peak, there is no difference)

I use Spirit, which is now owned by Esat Fusion. You sign up for a contract, and then you dial 13147 before any call you want routed through Spirit - which might be mobile calls, all international calls, some international calls, calls to the mammy, or whatever you want.

Thanks guys. I'd already taken a look at Spirit but i hadn't heard about Talkshop. Talkshop isn't one of those internet cafe type places, is it? I've also found a pretty cheap call card the Hello! call cards. They seem to have a pretty cheap rate when dialing the local number. Anyway if you know of anymore i'd appreciate it.

    Cheers,

    Killian
