can anyone recomend a good DV Capture Card?

...budget is around IR£450. I was looking at a few on the web, some of them mentioned a required 'Video Hard Drive'... what the hell is that?... or is it just any old HD (thats big and fast enough) which you decide to dedicate to the captured footige?

I bought an MGI one for £100 in game that included MGI Videowave4 which is a nifty cheapo software film editor. That said with your budget I'm sure you could go for one of the better options.

In any case check out http://multimedian.com/ a good info site. I have already made an amateur film which predictably chronicles 3 drunks in my flat after a night in Ri Ra. Very educational.
