Pre vB threads

I assume that pre vB threads arent going to be imported into the database. Any way to search through threads from old ubb? Looking for a particular old thread.

eh? I thought they were already imported... I seem to remember DeVore doing it at 3am some night... (?) - certainly looks that way to me when I do a search on certain items that I know were last posted in well pre the vB install (a year and a half ago for example!)

I kicked it off at 3am but its one of those things that you browser stupidly auto-submits the request to process the next 1000 and the next 1000.... etc

So I said shag that, and went to bed.
All threads are there in the database but they need to be indexed is all.

weird. the search doesnt seem to work for me. Even putting in random words that I know have got to be in old posts.

Right, the re-indexing is done. (took feckin ages...)

We have 290,000 posts in 35,000 separate threads...

Should all be searchable now...
