    What happened to the thing Intel were planning to do, you the whole p3 cpu serial number thingy.

    It's still there, disabled by default (I think - you should be able to change it in any decent BIOS setup program anyway)

    Hehe. You might want to try re-reading what you type before you post it, this does two things:
    1) We'll actually know what the hell you're on about
    2) You don't look like a complete moron.

    I think you mean the serial numbers in the p3 chips - they were enabled at first, then Intel were screamed at, and then they were disabled by default. As far as I know anyway, don't tear my head off if it's wrong.
