Eircom/Esat

    Anyone having problems connecting to Tinet/eircom lately. Last couple of nights around 8pm I've tried to and get constant line busy. This is rather upsetting needless to say. I'm currently using esat and I just cannot believe that ppl use them for gaming. It's the $hitest connect ever.

    Hmmmm I use Eircom and yes you do have alot of busy lines just keep redialing u'll get thru eventually smile.gif

    Forget ESAT they are crap at the moment.

    yeah it's the same on the isdn lines aswell @ 8 u need to dial bout 10/15 times to get a line.

    had a few dialing problems with esat a couple of weeks back, but it seems to be sorted out now.

    Yup Esat is rubbish but it's wierd cos now it's mostly affecting my web and e-mail whereas connecting to gameservers isn't too bad.

    Have Eircom changed dns address or something ? All weekend getting wierd connects and unable to resolve names.
    Anyone else suffering ?

    P.S. Installed Unison (free ISP) and pings are comparable to eircom, i.e very good.

    Bless me I'm using lynx so I how this work's!
    I've been using esat No Limits for 3 months and find there service great for stupid long downloads etc. There is 3 of us using the one connection at home which is run through a linux gateway it logs on @ off-peak times all the time automagicly. Everyone keep's slagging of esat but not every one just uses the Internet for games.
