What should the focus be?

I think it’s all agreed the focus at the moment should be the black out.
But what after that. We have to keep momentum up.

There are a few things at the moment we should focus on

    1) Chorus /o Reilly /eircom, we should lobby the competition commission about that. What ever happened to that letter writing campaign? A draft proposal should be drawn up, including address to mail and template letters, and sent around on the mailing list
    2) Competition Bill 2001, we should lobby the government to change this and include new anti monopoly laws against eircom.

There seems to be the impression all we can do is wait for the moment, and see what happens. This is not the case. But we would need a concerted effort from the full membership to have an effect. Imagine a thousand letters a week flooding into the odtr, and the competition commission. They could nad wouldn’t ignore us for long.

Our objectives are laid out here. How IrelandOFFLine go after these objectives will be decided by the committee and once these objectives are met, like C.U.T. (in the UK), IrelandOFFLine will cease to exist.

    It's that simple.
