    Don't know if anyone knows about this yet,

    www.namezero.com offer free domain names that are setup within 3-4days.
    They put a big annoying frame with adds on it on the bottom of your webpage but with a script that you enter in the header of the webpage it removes the add banner perfectly.

    The script is:

    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=iso-8859-1">
    <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="1;ULR=http://www.yourwebpage.com/"&gt;
    <title></title>
    </head>
    <body></body>
    </html>

    Oh btw just enter it in the index.html and it will remove the add for everyone page after that..

    but namezero still own teh domain and don't do hosting either
    just spend 10quid and get a real one from gandi.com


    btw i use nz all the time but i payed cash for it

    i have a payed host my self but I just thought i'd share that information if anyone had hosting and was just looking for a domain name...

    yep NZ old old news @ this stage:) Actually so many ppl have used the service they almost had to close down @ the start of the year. Before then you could register as many as you like- as a I did- but now they screen each application:(

    The banner ad thing was cráp as well bcos @ the start it was minimisable and now a simple break frames bit of JS gets rid of it:)

    I still use them though for my own site- i like the sub-domain thang they have ie- home.stauntonline.com (purely illustratative-no plug intended;))

    Oh and Giblet- Dont worry you have it for the year! After about 7 months as you siad they send you these "very improtant" announcemnts that they hope you will shít your pants and buy the domain. The only thing I'd say is they usually give you a good offer around now as oppossed to when the domain expires and then they'll charge you $35 or so- Perhaps dont press the delete button on all NZ junk mail:)
