    Where do I go to get additions to ie5 or word 97 that allows me to view japansese script?

    http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com I think thats the url, if not, just go to start->settings->windows update in win98 and it'll bring you straight there. They should have japanese language support. As for word, maybe look for Office updates on the microsoft homepage, and afaik, things like this are free downloads.

    Try going to a japanese website... I'm pretty sure you'll get a prompt to download the language support pack.
