I see to my intense joy (Irish Times Tuesday Oct 23) that yet another contestant is suing RTE and/or Tyrone Productions after being hung out to dry by the most inept question setters in history, namely those on the Irish version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

OK, you can forgive them for screwing up the question 'Where in the body is the annulus?' because it is a really specialist subject. But this last question they messed up was:

A bronze statue of which writer and politician is situated in front of Trinity College?

And the answers, after they were reduced to two options, were: Edmund Burke or Thomas Davis.

Now as any Dub knows, and most culchies who have ever spent a day in the Big Shmoke know, there are statues of both men in front of Trinity College. They are there for all to see. On one of Dublin's main thoroughfares.

I can't believe they actually screwed up on that. Could it be deliberate?

Or are they really that crap?

I don't know WTF an LTM is, but in fact we're both wrong.

    It was lunula.

I feel I can point this out because I checked it up on dictionary.com.

I really hope that guy wins his case and gets reinstated. I'd love to see Gaybo squirm in his chair with embarassment for a second time.
