Is that question 'knows so much', or 'knows too much'.
As in: "Tonight, zenith sleeps with the fishies. He knows too much."
I'm just this guy, y'know. I'm certainly not anybody else fooling around under an assumed name.
Dunno, doing the FAQ just lit my fire a bit.
PM me if you really want to know.

Welcome to Who would live in a nick like this?

Well your probably in your mid to late twenties or older if you actually bought that zarjaz copy of 2000 AD. "I'm just this guy you know" probably is a reference to Zaphods Braincare Specialist and your knowledge suggests that you're either a fellow Usenet rufugee like meself or an imigrant from another bb site.

I'm hoping he'll take the position of FAQ Moderator (perhaps with Keeks?)

btw, extra brownie points if you can place the quote from the subject of this post. Hint: Its from a cult film you'd all know...

amp, astounding detective work, with suprisingly few clues.

Yep, 28, and did buy that copy of 2000ad with my own cash.

That was a Hitchikers reference, spot on, and I am a refugee from another board: never really took to usenet, as it was too spammy by the time I got steadily online.

DeVore, I'd be delighted: can't imagine this being too high-volume, so no problem. Can't speak for Keeks. I'll mail ya.

No clue about the movie, tho.

<radio voice> ".... a man decapitated body lying on the floor next to his own, severed, head. A head which at this time has no name. </radio voice>

    <baddie growl> I know his name...

But wasn't Zenith a lazy sob who all he did was care about himself and what supermodel he'd hump next?

I have the whole set of Zenith btw. :) Very good series.

That, Halo Jones and DR and Quinch rank as the best series to come out of 2000ad.

Lloyd Grossman: And who would hold a sword like this?

Long haired frenchman: I am Connor MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod. I was born in 1518 in the village of Glenfinnan on the shores of Loch Shiel. And I am Immortal

    Lloyd: Reaaaally?

Macleod: Yes and there can be only one!

    *swish*

    Lloyd Grossmans decapitated head: Faaaascinating!

Swifty was my personal fav, great early Jamie Hewlett artwork and the origin of one of my favourite phrases: You know it mocks sense.

Highlander is a classic ever since it was released. It was fated to be so, merely for the greatest dialogue between two actors ever.

    It went as follows:

Sean Connery (Scottish, playing a Spainish Egyptian) and Christopher Lambert (Frenchman playing a Scot) are sitting in a boat, talking.

Sean Connery, (In thick scottish accent): "What's a haggissshh?"

Christopher Lambert (French twang) : "It is zis meal made ov shiep's stomach feiled wit meat".

    A Classic, by any standard.

Hence, he's kinda a hero of mine.

There were all the other superheroes, trying to save the world, and here's this 'Rick Astley'alike goit, wondering if his bum looks big in this.
    Classic!
As for DR and Quinch: "Reception? We need a nice fat bellboy. With credit cards."

(Of course, now that I'm a moderator, I should be screaming: Off topic! Off with my head!)

Actually this going to be one of the few boards where Off-topics can be let slide, so long as the question is answered satisfactorily BEFORE the buffy pictures and amp-tests arrive :)
