    I'm not sure how indicative a poll on this forum would be of the boards crew in general, or what conclusions you could draw from that poll but - anecdotally - they're older than you might expect, better-paid than the average, weighted towards IT etc. Of course, there are people who don't fit that profile.

    Birth date can be entered in a user's profile, so that boards can wish you a happy birthday, but I'm not sure that's a good sample either.
