    Does any 1 know what the best free proxy/cache is in ireland?

    Proxy's can usually be used only when you are logged into that particular ISP. Here's the main ones:

    proxy.esat.net:8000
    cache.iol.ie:80
    webcache.indigo.ie:82
    ie-cache.utvinternet.com:8080

    If you want to setup your own one I'd use Squid or MS ISA server.
