OK, dumb question of the year really.

Sony portable minidisc recorder MZ R55

Having plugged it in correctly, what combination of butons do I have to press to recharge the battery

(haven't used it in months and I've completely forgotten)

There is a "recharge" label under the stop button but pressing it, either with or without a disc in doesn't display "recharging"

Probably the same for similar players so any help at all would be good

Uh...

Stick the recharger into the recharge slot and press stop. It works regardless of an MD being in there or not. Of course, your battery has to be in!

If it's not working when you press stop, it's broken. Get it fixed.
