Startup Programs in Win98

I want to stop a whole load of crap ass programs starting up with windows 98. They aren't in the startup folder of the start menu so where do I find them and stop them?

Go to Start->Run and type 'msconfig'. This is a 'hidden' config sheet, ie Microsoft don't document it on your system. On there somewhere should be a tab with all those annoying progs that keep starting on startup. For something more permanent though takes registry editing, and I'll tell you if you want, but it's not necessary

I've been cursing the several start-up progs that
cause my win98 machine to take an age to fully boot up,
so this is just what I've been looking for!
