Ok, I need your help folks, I need to get:

    - Some ad banners and buttons for display on websites supporting the IrelandOffline Blackout. For preference, they should be simple, generic, and of course white-on-black. Messages like "Supporting the IrelandOffline Blackout" will work perfectly in my view. A button that could go in Boards.ie users sigfiles would be a nice touch too.

    - I need people to go through the Blackout website to see how it can be improved. One suggestion I've had so far (hudson) is the addition of some facts and figures to the downloadable splash screen, to highlight the real differences between Ireland and it's counterparts. I need more ideas like this, as we will be getting more coverage tomorrow and the website needs to be truly representative of the situation.

    - I need someone to use the information we've provided to develop flyers and leaflets for the Blackout. At the moment, we need posters and flyers for distribution in schools, colleges and offices, and we'll also be needing slightly different ones for November 16th itself.

That's all for the moment, but you just *know* I'll Be Back. :)

The site below is live with an old version of the blackout index page, dates and all, which render the message useless because it's obviously not a well maintained site.

Could the owner of the site take it down until the actual blackout occurs?

    is this any use?

(posted the URL, not the anim itself, as it's 25Kb in size - could do with a bit of squishing...)

Can i suggest adding a good hit counter - something that gives good stats of where & when people came from, and something that can't be spoofed by "well meaning souls" reloading the page.

I use http://www.extreme-dm.com/tracking/ on my site and it's pretty handy - it's free, too.

My mother in law has offered to do these for us...we just need to get the info to her. What should we put on the flyers?

    HUP!

Just a quick note to say that some banners and buttons will be made available on the Blackout website tomorrow. I'll also be making a flyer/poster available, courtesy of Elana's mammy-in-law, and making a few changes to the site, including an amended Blackout splash page.
