Funk scene

does anyone know if thereis a proper funk scene in Dublin at all? i dont count jamiriquai as funk. james brown,bootsy collins.... must funkify sometime soon. psycadelic funk....yeah baby!

Yeah, Im a big fan of funk.
Ive been lookin around for funky stuff, not much goin on.
Jazz FM - 89.8 is about the only station playin funky ****.
RnaGaeltacht surprisingly has some deadly shows on a Friday and Saturday night.
Ri-Ra Niteclub in Dame Court has good tunes most nights as does the Globe which is the bar in the same place. Handle's near Christchurch is a nice drinkin spot, great tunes.
Dunno much else goin on, some good Irish Funky bands - The Freaksters, Fourteen, Global Funk Orchestra (dunno if they're still goin), Tabularosa, Im sure there's plenty more.
