In regards processor? It's a PIII but it has that as it's speed? Does that mean it's overclocked?

Probably means it's an 866MHz Pentium III running on a 133MHz front side bus with a 6.5x multiplier

So like that means it's overclocked then? :)

why do ya think its over clocked??? the 133 refers to the ram speed

    Not neccesarily.
Could be a 100FSB P3 with 100Mhz RAm running at 133 FSB with a bit of cooling.
Prolly not stable, but depends on the make of ram and batch of CPU.

It could also be any sort of combination.

    Mostlikely is a FC-PGA P3 @ 866 (133x 6.5) with 133Mhz ram though.

    Just like JustHalf's suggestion.

    :)

I like that way Hobbes thinks though :)

So, just because multiplier and bus speed are mentioned, it is automatically assumed that it is an overclocked chip? Believe it or not, chips at standard speed have a bus speed and multiplier also.

The chip is an 866mhz pentium III, as has been stated, running with a 133mhz bus speed with a 6.5x multiplier.

66mhz, 100mhz bus and 133mhz bus are standard speeds for intel to use, so why would you reckon its overclocked?

This 866mhz speed can be achieved by running a p3 650 at 133 mhz bus, instead of the normal 100mhz bus (it also has a 6.5x multiplier which cannot be altered) but if you look at the markings on the chip itself, you will see what the rated speed is. The chips are identical apart from the fact that the genuine 866 is tested and guaranteed to run at that speed.
