    Saw The Hives on Jools Holland on Friday...pretty impressive...there must be a Strokes-style invasion coming, and why not.

    Has anyone got their new album?
    Is it up to scratch?

    Agreed...Beany The Hives look pretty good alright ...the vid on Mtv at the moment is cool I think .....kinda ska in a way??

    This is like the Stereophonics type invasion that took place a few years ago.....we all know what happened there

    Yeah, they were good, but they look like they want to be the Icarus Line with white ties. Which is just fine and dandy of course, we can just have all the bands of the oncoming "Strokes Revolution" dress in black shirts and pants and just let them choose their own tie colours.

    But the Icarus Line are better than the Strokes et all...meh, I guess they just don't have the same huge amounts of cash pumped into them.
