Slowest ever Boards???

I don't know if anyone is finding Boards especially slow today but I am, and I'm on a pretty good connection (ethernet network). I don't know why this is, it's always been a bit slow but today it's so slow I need six windows open at a time to get any sense of speed.

I have included 2 tracert's for whoever wants to see 'em and I know it might not be Boards problem, but I thought I'd let you know.

Boards is the slowest I've ever seen em today.

I'm on a 5 meg line and it's taking literally minutes to open each forum and even at that alot of the graphics aren't loading.

Tracert doesn't show anything unusual all pings below 260.

Could boards be getting hit by nimda or something similar?

Sometimes I din't know what to blame - is it the server
or the ISPs' line, today I'm on UTV @ 46667 kps so I should be flying but its very stop start, like its building up a buffer then suddenly woosh!

While other sites are effected some some degree boards.ie
does seem particuarly bad.

Our log files are about normal...

We've noticed that the JScript for the drop downs is 30K so we are going to alter that and use a local (to you) include.. that should drop bandwidth considerably.

Everything seems normal but it grinds to a halt occasionally... and the burst of data effect seems common to people's reports...

Just to throw my findings in:

I am on a slow connection compared to some here (128k ISDN).
However, I have seen a very noticeable slowdown in boards loading lately and I could be wrong but I reckon that since boards was upgraded not so long ago things have generally got a lot slower.
At times it seems as if my old 56K modem would be quicker.
I don't have this problem with other websites which load fairly quickly on my ISDN line.
