Emailing members, noone likes change

I have to say, I don't like this emailing lark done through the boards itself. Can we just bring back the option of people putting their email address onto their profile? Was there a mass spam attack or something that merited this anonymity approach? It's just I'm not sure if my mails are getting to their destination, though it is quite possible the members I have mailed just don't want to talk to me.I'd feel so much better if I got to type "xxxxx@hotmale.com" into my outlook express myself instead of boards doing it for me

Well actually I think there was a mass spam attack, with some people (Hobbes I think) only having his email address viewable on boards and he recieved spam, and a few others here.

Anyway I prefer it the way it is.

Bugler, you can email dev for the specified users address... that's what it tells me if the person has their mail address hidden.

I think if someone doesnt want you to know their email address, I'd be loath to give it out to anyone. Its their choice.
