So is anyone here a mature student? How are you finding it?
I'm thinking about applying as a mature student next year, possibly UCC as the hours are pretty good there if I want to work part-time.

What's the story with grants etc?

Any info at all would be helpful really

    Thanks!

AFAIK the best thing to do is to contact the college in question re: a specific course you want to do. Dependant on your qualifications previous results etc. you will be assessed.

It is then that the issue of a grant applies. If you are over the age of 23 then you qualify for free fees once you have an acceptance to a recoginised course in a third level institution.

The various colleges are the best ppl to speak to, but thats the general procedure to the best of my knowlegde:)
