I recently installed winamp on my college pc in order to listen to some of my favourite shoutcast channels. Unfortunatly I cant connect to any station whatsover :( id say the fact that im behind the pesky firewall has a lot to do with it.Does anyone know of a way to get around this, say configure winamp to use a diff port or anything? anyhelp appreciated

You definitly have an http proxy there. And it probably requires authorisation (do you have to enter your username/password to acces sites?). If so, then you should enter the following into "proxy server" field of your winamp:
    yourusername:yourpassword@proxyt.ttt.ie:port
    Then it will work.

Then just type in http proxy details, and hey presto! Seriously, afaik, shoutcast is just a streaming of mp3 data using http protocol. So it works perfectly well via a normal http proxy. If it doesn't work with you, then make sure that you have correct proxy address and port set (if you don't know proxy's address, then ask someone, or try to find it in IE->Tools->Internet Options->Connection->Lan settings(?)) in winamp, and that the stream you are trying to play is available.
