Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have seen ads on Sky in the last number of days advertising viewing different channels at the same time where there is more than 1 tv in the house.

How does this work and more importantly how much ???

    A mirror subscription £10 a month extra or £120 a year aprox!
Plus new/second hand digibox-up to £200 or so(£300 or more new)
    Cost of instalation/new lnb ???

Any how you are talking aproximately three or four hundred pounds outlay in the first year.
Nothing to do with Sky is cheap:mad: ( although the service is excellent :) )

I don't think they're going to employ me as their marketing manager:rolleyes:

Should be able to get secondhand digibox for about 60-100 stg on ebay.co.uk. Tou just have to wait for the right one, the cheapest will be Amstrad/grundig/pace. Japanese ones are higher. I got one this way.
Should be able to get twin lnb for minidish for 50 stg. i just got one and will test it this weekend. You have to be careful that the twin lnb is for a minidish and what type of minidish, Channel master or Triax as they mount differently.

But you will have to get off your couch and run a new cable from dish to new digibox.

Dont go down the route of getting a new box.
In january sky should be bringing their new multi view-one box system to ireland.
m sure the add you seen was the guy with his eye balls going all over the place..?

i am sure the "multi view-one box system" as you have called is the very same as getting new decoders to watch different channels in different rooms. the best thing at the minute (Sky +) wont even let you watch different channels simulaniously, only record another while you watch a different one. what you need for "a multi view-one box system" is a second digibox and a mirror subscription for about £12 a month

Why can't they just get all the technology (including Sky+) into the one box ?????

Because Sky are mean and want to Bleed as much money out of it's subscribers as possible(understandable).
The only answer to that is competition.
The substandard (compared to Sky ) service digital cable offers is not the answer.
