Reinstalling W98 with PB OEM after hardware upgrade

I tried to format and reinstall Windows 98 using the Packard Bell Windows 98 OEM I got almost three years ago. But since then I have upgraded the PC with ABIT, AMD and Hercules components.

When Windows started up "For the First Time" etc it seemed to load the default everything, and didnt seem able to find my graphics card at all. There were "unknown" items in the Device Manager, but every driver I tried wouldnt work.

So now I'm back on my trusty Celeron333 with 4mb ATI on-board graphics.

HELP!!! How do I get it to use the new Graphics Card?

    Thanks...

Are you sure you've tried all the official drivers for the card?

Did you replace the motherboard? If not chances are your original mobo only supports the onboard gfx. That's all I can think of :(

Yep I used the manufacturers Driver CD's.

And Yea, I changed from the PB Mobo to a KT7a, I think the OEM kit assuming the KT7a is the other motherboard and installing it as such. I dunno if thats even possible but thats my theory.

When I got the new parts a few months back, I installed them without formatting and it worked OK. I just heard a clean install when you get new components is better, so i did it. Wish I hadn't bothered now ;\
