Anyway... Expanding my horizons to what exactly?

I think a lot of the time people think that because bands have a lot of wierd names, it MUST be nasty nasty death metal.

Take Switchblade Symphony for example... Really, really mellow... Brilliant stuff.

Or just how varied some bands are also.
Like Borknagar now... The lead singer is a classicaly trained Opera singer, and come out with some of the most beautiful vocals you'd imagine.

Or Agathodaimon, who do some pretty cool Black Metal, and then turn around and do beautiful classical guitar peices, and some nice mellow songs...


But I'm happy enough listening to my narrow field of view. Ignorance is bliss, yeah?

Yes that's true but that generates a list of songs not albums, which i have also done but its 12,000 mp3s which i don't think anyone wants to trawl through. I did it using a program called mp3control which i recommend to anyone wanting to database their mp3s as it uses the ID3 tag info and lets you search by those fields as well as the song name. Besides all my mp3s are on CD's not my harddrive so its not even straightforward for me to use the built in winamp thingy anyway.
