how would i get DVD audio to a Cassette for playing, say, in a car radio ? is it just a metter of hookin up a recordeing device to the output socket of the soundcard / dvd drive and let fly ? thanks

I'd imagine thats the easiest way to do it. You could probably pull something magical if it wasnt cassette but sometimes the oldest ways are the best. I connect my MD recorder to my lineout jack on soundcard too for recording mp3 to MD (until I get my USB optical out dealy from sony).
