I've tried our lecturers homepage, online tutorials, and even got a book out of library, but nowhere can I get a decent explanation of wtf it's about. I've gathered that it's not conventional and is used for manipulating strings. That's it. What type of functions does it do? Databasing, searching, AI, what? thx
