But they are nice, thats the problem (the chemicals that cause 'taste' are fat soluble).

Burdocks has gone downhill a bit recently, but it used to be a close second to Henry & Rose, Bray.

I'm afraid I disagree with the lot of you.

    Walkers Take-Away, Kilmore Quay, Wexford

Fish straight off the trawlers, A1 chips, and THE RISSOLE.. oh, the rissole..

You can book in to the Saltee Hotel up the road and make a night of it.

Walkers is now 'Kilmore Quay Take Away Foods' and is still No.1 in the South East

Burdock's has to be No.1 in Dublin (Christchurch Only!)

Dunno about overall chipper, but Seashell without doubt has the greatest veggie buger i've ever had in this country.
Don't worry though spod, it'll be a year at least before it gets shut down.

but it used to be a close second to Henry & Rose, Bray.

I live in bray and have been in every single chipper (atleast 20 of them), but Henry and Rose and Henry and Rose 2 have the nicest chips goin`.
Coming in at a close second is Forte's (Patsy's)

McDonaghs of Galway, methinks for fish at least, the chips have gone slightly downhill in the last few years in my humble opinion.

Ah they still draw me back every now and again. great cos they';re close to Lanfest and we can order a few boxes full of chips to go and have a bit of a feed with our Munroe's Pizzas.
The Kebab House near Dominic Street is good too.
Cafolla's in Tuam is pretty decent too though.

No, it definetly has to be Hillbillies or the Chipper in St Lukes cross. Both have gorgeous food and hillbillies does really nice snack boxes!!

Without a doubt (and anyone from Limerick will agree) (and Fergus is shouting at me to exempt Walkers on Kilmore Quay in Wexford) - the BEST CHIPPER IN IRELAND has to be Donkey Fords in Limerick.

    Greasy, messy, yummy.

    Rar.

Mc Donaghs in Galway is probably my favourite although caffolas isn't bad either

Matts fish is nice and the chips are nice too. There used to be a time I went in there and nodded to the grumpy git and my order was placed. Its a nice touch.

Just realised i replied to a post 5 years old :o

I apologise, I googled for irish chippers, cos someone told me that there was a website with a list of all chippers around ireland, with their menus and stuff... First thing that popped up was this, had a quick read but didn't think to look at dates...

    Sorry :(

    mmgh, lovely.

shame it's closing pretty soon :(

    They're closing soon? What?? why?!?!?
I've only recently discovered their battered mars bars. Not to mention other battered treats. Moros come out amazing.

This is a sad day for battered food :(
