wireless home network

    at moment i have a nice 10 meg network but what i wana do is be able to pick up my laptop and go into other rooms while bing on the network without a massive cable behind me could someone tell me somewhere i can find the equipment for this sort of thing . ( laptop dose havea network card built in )

    im mainly looking to buy it in ireland . the distance im talking about is .... max maby 50m

    U basically can use IEEE802.11b equipment. Two of these types of cards will work for you.

    I bought a nice Apple Airport base station to use withmy laptop. This base station is the best value for money I could find, has an internal modem, and looks like a little UFO. It's really funky.

    The Apple software that comes with it only works on macs naturally, but you can get freeware applications off the net to configure it. After that, it works with any WiFi-compliant card.

    It's presently talking PPoE very nicely to Eircom's DSLAM :-)
