Quake 2 had some of the best "feeling" weapons in a game. The railgun was the daddy, but the hiss of the hyperblaster has to be one of the best sound effects of all time...

And you have to love picking off folk with assault rifles with CS' Desert Eagle

In my opinion the best weapon is the Flamethrower or Tesla Gun from Wolfenstein 3d. They were just sooooo beautiful to look at, especially the flamethrower.

I love the cerberal bore in turok two put it in a game wiht realistic blood now that would be sweet!the sword from mgs2 is cool.Any flamethrower i love flamethrowers!stand up red faction for youre flamethrower and fusion rocket launcher.

i had such a mod for q1 like that also - used grind even the shamblers to bits in seconds - when u run out ammo (which happened quite a bit) u can even use the spinning barrels to mash up the enemys also

TF : A nice shot of ebola virus from the medkit
CS : the Colt ...duh
SOF : The Silver talon hand cannon
DoD : The new machine guns ,either of them and before dod2 the Kar98 bayonet
IGI : The Dragunov
UT : Everything. In particular a well used flakker
Q3 : for lack of a better option a rail gun
Doom : Shottie
Nolf : The Harpoon gun , Pinning baddies against the wall by the tacks is possibly the greatest thing ever to happen to the FPS

Actually the sniper rifle in any game.

Gotta love that piano wire in Hitman. It's scary.

Generally I like Dragunovs, or another sniper rifle if no Dragunov is available. Does the trick for blowing holes in peoples heads at a great distance. Yum.
