    I know its a bit early but you need to book soon, so get the tix while you can!!!

    25 years after the SEX PISTOLS reached no 1 with god
    save the queen and shocked the british nation on the
    now infamous bill grundy bbc tv interview punk rock is
    still alive and kicking.
    To celebrate this fact Holidays In The Sun festivals
    uk(the name taken from the pistols 4th single)are
    going to stage the biggest punk rock extravaganza ever
    held in ireland.
    Vicar street is the chosen venue where over 30 bands
    will play over 3 days from friday 17th -19th of may
    2002.
    Punk became the catalyst that kickstarted a stagnant
    music scene and left the nation in uproar.It stripped
    bare the music industry and spawned thousands of
    teenage rebels and disaffected youth everywhere,
    many who went on to form punk rock bands.

    Many of these bands have survived and will play vicar
    street,for some it is their first time on irish soil.
    Bands to be confirmed include STIFF LITTLE FINGERS,THE
    DAMNED,THE EXPLOITED,MENACE,THE UK SUBS,THE COCKNEY
    REJECTS,SLAUGHTER AND THE DOGS,TV SMITH,VICE
    SQUAD,999,G.B.H.,THE ANTI NOWHERE LEAGUE,COCK
    SPARRER,PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES,THE LURKERS,THE
    SUBHUMANS,SHAM 69,THE VARUKERS,THE BUISNESS,MAJOR
    ACCIDENT,COITUS,THE RESTARTS,CITIZEN FISH etc,
    it will also be a platform for some of the best irish
    punk bands including BLOOD OR WHISKEY,SKINT,RUNNIN
    RIOT,COLDWAR,and THE STEAM PIG.
    Cds ,t-shirts and all sorts of punk memorabilia will
    be available inside the venue.

    Tickets will cost £20(25 euro) on friday,
    £25(31 euro) saturday and sunday or a special 3 day
    weekend ticket for £60(76 euro).
    a limited number will be available from ticketmaster
    or directly from www.holidaysinthesun.net
    or www.hardcore-times.com/toxic.
    advance tickets are advised as this event is expected
    to sell out quickly with the venue only being 1000
    capacity.

    HITS are also on the lookout for a major sponsor so
    get in touch if you want to be involved.
    last years uk event was sponsored by doctor marten
    boots and captain oi records.
