god, i could just eat up emma caulfield with strawberries and cream.
and even better, angel is back next week as well.
its christmas time all over again

oh, and the plaot wasnt too bad, for buffy. cant wait for episode 6, the singing episode.

i think giles is of to do a spin of show set in england called ripper.
i think, anyone know any more about that?

It's a BBC show actually written by Joss whashisname that wrote the other 2. I think it's related to Giles' early days when he was called Ripper - it's often spoken of in Buffy (remember when that guy from Giles' past arrived and did bold things with Halloween costumes?).

I'm looking forward to it - could be better than the other 2!

AFAIK, the proposed Ripper series is to star ASH himself, after he completes his current obligations in Buffy.

I'm not sure, but I heard that he would be in over half the new series before leaving. Can check if you like....

Anyway - assuming Mr. Head will indeed star in Ripper, I doubt that they'll set it in his youthful years - he'd never pass as a youth.

it's a 6 part mini series called the watcher - but i dont know if he will be returning!! - although he was at the series premier party so he could be in it for more than one episode!!!
anyway once he finds out that buffy is alive i cant see him not returning!?!?!

I just watched it last night. I gotta say i thought it was awful, really badly directed and handled.

Also, i noticed that ASH was down as a guest star which is the same thing they did with David Boreanz in his last series, so i assume that Ripper is more than a min-series.

I can sense the law of diminishing returns come into play now, 6 series is a long time in TV, the cast are all getting older (Alysson Hannigan is 28 or so, Emma Caulfield is about the same) and the ideas are harder to come by. I hear a musical episode is in the pipeline, how long before a clip show?

Generally most dont make it past 5 seasons, if they do then its because they ar quality and continue on so.
Eg : SG1 just get stronger and stronger, Outer Limits and so on.

Did anyone see Ep1 of series 7 of the Outer Limits, apparently Sci Fi are showing it...

The New series is called the watchers and is set either in the time between Giles returning to england after buffy "dies" and returning to Buffy since she is "resurected" or possibly set back in the days when he was a watcher pre-buffy. Almost certain the pre-buffy days idea was dropped... that is why he has returned to england in the new series.
