Q3 updates?

    Ok just starting to play the game a bit and it rocks....
    But i only have the original version. So i went and downloaded the latest update and nada. it said something like version 4 found expected 3 or some such nonsence. so if anyone could point my in the right direction it would be great and also any other files that may help.

    ^- thats the problem

    you may have put in the pk3 files but you need the 1.31 quake3.exe too.

    And the solution is -


    Read my first reply. You NEED to get quake 3 point release 1.31. It's still on ftp.quake.ie/q3.files/patches . It hasn't moved recently. Download it, install it and hey presto, you'll be up and running.

    These seem to be the only problems in the load. Any ideas?
    I have the latest OSP and pointrelease on the machine.

    you might have the 1.17 "speed dlls" installed.
    3 dll in baseq3
    cgame86.dll
    ui.dll
    and some other one, get rid of them if u have them
