New Section: The Gathering

    I think there should be a section of the Boards.ie site dedicated to Hobbes' (and others) excellent "Boards.ie: The Gathering" cards.

    A gallery, as such.

    Thoughts? Threats? (Dis-)Agreements?

    How about creating the section and linking tro it from the front page in the "Extra" part.

    Of course this wouldn't be an urgent request because the Admins have been working their asses off lately and for *free*. I dunno if I could do that.

    Um... wasn't suggesting a new board, WWMan... just a new section... a page where all the cards would be collected in a gallery.

    I'd even offer to design it, if necessary.

    I remember getting Hobbes set before he added a few more, Hobbes do you still have a zip of the complete set? If so I will happily put up a gathering section.

    well... maybe Cloud would be so good as to copy the code over and stick it on a page at a handy boards.ie URL like www.boards.ie/gathering/ or something :)

    or put a drop down list in the post reply page that when you select a card, it puts it into the post automatically like the system used for the smilies.

    thats well cool Bard, been playing with it for ages here :)
    Neat piece of coding too.

    I dont want to integrate it TOO closely with boards or else everyone will use them all the time, but I like what you've done there and we'll stick it up on the boards server. Talk to Cloud or Regi about it (I dont have access to the file system atm).

    I do still think that the main card image should be in a 1x1 table with the blank card as the table background... means that when you click a card name it appears to "fill in" the blank card with the one you chose instead of just re-loading the image with as new src over the white b/g.

    But that's just me, as I said, being pedantic. Designers are allowed do that ... occasionally ;)
