Just a quick update for those who are interested in the state of play in WLL:

Eircom fixed my WLL line. Turns out it was both a faulty antenna and a faulty subscriber terminal (black box), which is just a freaky coincidence. Anyhoo, the line is up and running now.

It seems to be configured for 64k. I'm getting a pretty consistent 45.2k connection to UTV Internet, which is so much better than I've been used to that I'm quite happy.

Not much else to report: it's in, it works, it's reasonably quick, it's reliable even in bad weather.

    Really, really bad weather. :D
