yeah, saw something like that before, but not nearly as ambitious. Was a Jap site too :)

LN2 is extremely cheap as far as that sort of stuff goes. About £20 a litre I think.
Unless you have a way of re-cooling the used N2 it wouldn't be feasible.
    Class though.

OMG, why would you bother? Maybe I just don't understand wanting to potentially damage a brand new processor, or getting a short-lived world record that will be broken once a new processor is brought out.

just goes to show that there's a bit of life left in silicon yet :)

Course, if the chip had a half decent instruction set wouldn't need to run so feckin hot.

Woh..now thats one of the lan parties eh?

How bout using one of those water cooling systems to pump the N2 around?

Stupid idea, i know...but theres surely a better way than sticking a bucket of the stuff on top of it? :)

    if anyone is tempted...
these guys can supply the stuff...http://www.vacuumbarrier.com/

a couple of things when working with LN2
    its cold!
its an asphyxiant so don't set up the rig in your bedroom
condensation is a problem so you would need todry purge
the rig with , well, nitrogen........
