laptop network cards

    ive used the xircon III extensively and found it quite good,
    supported under win,linux and solaris ..

    so its well worth it imho, but ive no idea what the 3com crd is like ..

    Type III will take up 2 normal PCMCIA slots.
    If both the 3com and Xircom are CardBus I can't see much of a problem with either (Xircom do a pretty cool one ("Realport"?) that has fullsized connectors on the card, rather than a nice breakable Dongle).

    does any one know any pros/cons over any of these cards

    1 3COM 10/100 cardbus n/w card
    2 Xircom Combo type II CBEM
    3 Xircom Combo type III RBEM

    a friend is about to get a laptop and has to decide which one
