OK guys, now that we have our own little corner here - lets give it a lick of paint and put some furniture in.

I am in the dark about what Mac owners own these days so I'd love to hear about your babies!

I have a Graphite iMac 500mhz with 256mg RAM running OSX for web/fun based situations and OS9 classic on my second system for video/music editing.

I'd love to hear if anyone has a new Mac and especially the iMac.
    Anyone got an iPod?

    Apple SE/30
    Apple Classic
    Performa 6200
Imac 333mhz 96mb ram (upgrading to 256mb at least)
PowerMac (dunno what the spec is yet, picking it up tomorrow )

    now lets see,

mac se30 (rescued from skip - works fine)
    quadra 700 also works fine
    (both in 'storage')

gf has b/w g3 (450?) with dual 17" displays, and I've a dual 800 G4 (512 ram) with dual 17" displays, and a 500 'ice' ibook (base model with an extra 256 ram bunged in)

all talking with an airport network.

still running 9.2 until a bunch more apps appear on osX.

    Here they are:
    1. iMac 233, 256Mb Ram, running 9.2 and X 10.1
    2. 8500 with 92Mb running 9.1
    3. 6200 with 40Mb running 8.5 and Yellowdog linux 1.2

(And an old pentium 133 running SuSE 5.2 running Netatalk, AppleSharing for Linux)

Badly need an upgrade. Hopefully the new power macs will be interesting - and cheap!
    Donations graciously accepted :)

Let me know if you have someone in mind, they can take our 7200 for spare parts maybe.

    Excellent!

A mate of mine has the great wee iPod. The cool thing about it is that he has a Stuffed iTunes installer so that he can be compatible with any mac for downloading or uploading. As a backup he downloaded his system folder onto it in case his laptop went awry.

I've got a 400MHz Sawtooth G4 named Angleworm. 9.2 on a 20Gb disk and X on a 6Gb disk. I was using a Radeon, but I've gone back to a Rage 128. It's got a Yamaha SCSI CDRW, and the SCSI card is an Adaptec 2940UW.

I found the SCSI card in an old MS-DOS fileserver and flashed the ROM with a Mac image. Surprisingly enough it worked! And only ever gave me trouble once, the only trouble is no X drivers :-(

    It's 3rd birthay :-) is in November 2002
