    Posting this on behalf of a friend who said "hey, tell a few of your mates to come along!".

    He's just starting out promoting live music in Dublin so I thought this is as good a place as any to inform you guys of a (badly needed) new live music venue which does more then dj's and mc's.

    Friskin' The Whiskers -
    are a live-music promotions company with a difference. We aim to encapsulate the best of Irish based musical talent and the ultimate in IT solutions in bringing to the stage some of the finest live-music events to be seen in Ireland and broadcasting these via the Internet to the world.
    Also, being true believers in the fundamental principals of fair trade we aim to ensure that our greatest asset, musicians, are afforded the very best facilities for their talents that we can provide.
    Fair payment, good sound and lighting, advance publicity and promotion are of course pre requisites to hosting successful events.
    The hospitality of the house will be extended to pre-booked and jamming musicians in all available circumstances.
    Hence, when you read that "Friskin' The Whiskers present…" you can be assured that the entertainers are being treated the way you would wish!
    Also Friskin' The Whiskers will provide the very best in IT and Internet Solutions to musicians while seeking to broadcast their performances to a world-wide public, and to facilitate the fostering of overseas contacts by which musicians can successfully export the products of their musicianship and creativity.


    The Hang -
    is an exciting night of live music, with a Jazz/Blues/Jamming focus that aims to be tailor made to suit musicians and the audience that flocks to see them perform at their best. Knowing that artists perform best where they are made to feel at home The Hang is a musician friendly environment. Players enter the club at a nominal cost, and if jamming qualify for the much sought after 'beer vouchers'. There is no resident house band. Instead, each week the very best of talent from a variety of musically related genres, from jazz, blues, funk and fusion, are booked as the host band for a constantly varying series of jam sessions. Variety, quality, vitality and risk are the order of the day.
    Friskin' The Whiskers aim to broadcast audio/visual recordings of The Hang in web-magazine format via the Internet targeting both individuals online and facilitating licensed public broadcasts in bars and entertainment venues world-wide.
    The Hang nights will initially alternate between Fridays and Saturdays due to prior commitments of The Castle Inn. From March on the Hang will be a Saturday night event.



    The Castle Inn
    Christchurch is a beautifully appointed 250 capacity loft room with large picture windows overlooking Christchurch Cathedral. Finished in hard and softwoods it is acoustically lively but intimate, complete with its own bar and full facilities including a service dumbwaiter from the restaurant kitchen. Staging, recording and sound & light infrastructure for The Music Room is being organised by Friskin' the Whiskers, the Sult Club (alternate Thursdays in The Music Room), and the proprietors of The Castle Inn.
