    My my.

This old board is very quiet, so I thought a bit of semi-spam may liven things up.

How about a list of Quake songs? I'll start.

    Rocket Man - Elton John.
Shotgun Blues - Guns N' Roses.
    The Invisible Man - Queen.
    Shaft - Issac Hayes.
    Jump - Van Halen.
Running To Standstill - U2 (Laaag).

    Then we have:

Birdhouse In Your Soul - They Might Be Giants, for the line "I'm your little glowing friend".

Shiney, Happy People - REM, for the line, "Take it, Take it".

    Any More?

I think Stephen Hawkings classic rap "Quake Master" is right up there.

I personally think Clan 404's got the best of the Quakeish mp3's around.

Check out Shogun- Force Model (my personal fav) on http://clan404.co.uk/index.php?section=1&a=2

When I was reading the book 'Withour Remorse' (Clancy, c. 1995) there was a song along the lines of [angry mode on] "... don't need no one, don't need nobody" [angry mode off] . That would be close.

Did ya notice that the main soldier in Toy Soldiers looks like the Sarge? Then theres all the references in the movie to frags like "Frag em all"

The Original soundtrack for "QUAKE" by NIN is perfect for me... Ghostly, haunting and complex.... Just pop the CD into your CD player and skip track 1(the data)... them enjoy the melodies of PaIn... NIN :D

frag isn't a term used only in computer games.. i've seen it in war films like Platoon.

#MEAT#, I never said I made it up u fuckwit. The full version with pictures and all is really funny though. Its from when PC Zone used to be good, issue 45 December 1996 page 140:
So Horinoco shattered the bastard into a million gibs, thereby singlehandedly ruining the Shamblers' change of image in a thrice... "Arse", cried the rest of the Shamblers' as their series was taken off-air in an instant

    Ah, them was the days.
